Enter the details of your project, set Contractor eligibility criteria, upload your digital files (drawings, specifications, etc.), launch the call and place your project before the entire or part of the Cypriot building contractors market. Obtain tenders easily, quickly and without any charge from licensed Contractors from all over Cyprus who meet the eligibility/selection criteria you have set (e.g. district, years of Contractor experience, license class).
The Projects.cy system automatically compares the selection criteria you set with the profiles of the Contractors and automatically informs the Contractors that meet your criteria. This process is automatic and is not amenable to any human intervention.
You may also, if you wish, name
specific Contractors (e.g. ABC Construction Ltd and XYZ Construction Ltd) from whom you would like to receive a tender
(in addition to the 5 Contractors from whom you will receive bids through the automated process).
Projects remain listed and accessible from your Projects.cy account for a period of 6 months.
Yes. At registration, you are asked to choose whether you are registering as project owner or as consultant (e.g. Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Civil Engineer). In other words, posting a project and launching an invitation for tenders on Projects.cy can be done either directly by the project owner, or by the consultant of the project, e.g. the architect or the quantity surveyor.
Through your Projects.cy account you have access to the project you have posted, you can monitor the progress of the tender procedure, post amendments/circulars, and receive relevant notifications/updates (e.g. activation of the project call for tenders, purchase of tender documents by contractors, etc.)
There are no charges or fees for Owners and Consultants. It is free of charge.
→ For new building projects (e.g. construction of houses, apartment buildings, offices, factories, hotels) throughout Cyprus.
→ For renovations, repairs, extensions and demolitions related to houses, apartment buildings, offices, factories, hotels, etc.
A prerequisite for being able to post your project is to have tender documents for submission, e.g. if it is a residential construction, complete architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical drawings, topographic plan, and (if available) the bill of quantities. For renovations and repairs, if complete drawings and bill of quantities are not available, such documents must be submitted so that Contractors can adequately understand the nature of the work and price the bid on equal terms.
If incomplete tender documents are submitted, the project will not be immediately launched on Projects.cy and additional documents will be requested.
Only in digital format, e.g. drawings in PDF or AutoCAD files, specifications in PDF or Word files, bill of quantities in PDF or Excel files, photos in JPG or PNG files. You can also submit documents in aggregate form via a ZIP file.
If blurred tender documents are submitted (or in an inappropriate format, e.g. drawings in JPG files), the project will not be immediately launched as an open invitation for tenders on Projects.cy, and additional documents will be requested.
After completing the process for posting your project on Projects.cy, and once we check that nothing is missing, the project is launched as an open call for tenders in the platform’s Projects List.
It is emphasized that the information relating to your project in the
Projects List
and in its preview does not include any of your personal data, such as your personal details or the address of your project. Nor do we publish your project plans/documents, save for an anonymised sample (e.g. an architectural floor plan) so that interested contractors get a good idea of the nature of the project.
Only a limited number of registered contractors who meet the eligibility requirements you have set and who purchase the project documents may receive this information, to enable them to prepare and submit a tender to you (an automatic email notification is sent to you with the name of each Contractor who purchased the documents).
The selections found in the "Project Specifications" section are intended to gather some key features of your project. First, make sure that you entered the project address correctly (postcode, district, street) and that the location is correctly displayed on the map. If it doesn't appear correctly on the map, move the arrow to the correct location.
Then, fill in the information regarding the nature of the construction (e.g., if the main structural element is concrete, then choose a concrete construction). Regarding the area of the building (m2), ensure that it includes all covered areas (including the area of any basements and any other covered areas such as parking spaces, terraces, mezzanines).
In the "Brief Description of Project" field, give a very brief description of your project, such as "Two-storey modern house with flat roof, basement and swimming pool".
The platform system allows you to open your project to tenders from contractors of any city/cities or all of Cyprus. For example, if your project is a house in Limassol, you can select to open it only to contractors from Limassol, in which case only Limassol contractors (who meet the other criteria you set) will be notified and will be eligible to tender.
Alternatively, you may choose to open the project to i.e, contractors from Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos, in which case contractors from all these districts (who meet the other criteria you set) will be notified and will be eligible to tender.
The law classifies contractors in categories ΄A to ΄E depending on the size of the projects that they are entitled to build (i.e. ΄E up to 300m2, ΄D up to 1.000 m2, ΄C up to 4.000m2, ΄B up to 10.000m2 and ΄A unlimited size). Click

for an explanatory table from the relevant law.
Although, indirectly, a higher category may mean more experience/knowhow, it could also mean a higher price.
Hence, avoid limiting yourselves to the higher categories unless it is necessary because e.g. of the particular complexity of your building project.
Once you have completed and submitted your project for posting, we check (within 24 hours) that nothing is missing and we post it in Projects.cy’s
Projects List
as a building project open for tenders, together with a relevant preview of the project specifications and requirements. At the same time, eligible Contractors are notified accordingly.
After the launch of the project, and during the period it is open for tenders, you can post amendments such as posting circulars or additional plans, or extending the deadline for the submission of tenders. This option is provided through your Projects.cy account, in the section "My Projects". If eligible contractors have already obtained the original project documents, they shall be notified accordingly and will receive access to the new/additional documents.
When posting the project, you may choose either electronic submission to predefined emails, or physical submission to a predefined address, or both.
